Grants Music Diary 31/10/16
I’m still enjoying making downtempo slow EDM type things, I do enjoy making a beat. Also I sometimes still visit apps other than Gadget and iMaschine 🙂

Horns #7
The horns are from the Marseille gadget today; a trombone with a tenor sax a third above and a trumpet repeating the trombone an octave higher.

Horns #6
I used two horn sections here: a sax and a muted trumpet for the punches, and trombone, tenor sax, trumpet, alto sax for the melody part which I voiced in thirds which seems to work well. I used Montreal for all the horns in this one.

Horns #4
Yes another play with a horn section in a track. I’ve been fairly simple with the horns here just some gentle chords here and there but I think I’m beginning to voice them fairly well. Still working in Gadget, this time using 3 instances of Darwin for the horns: a trumpet for the high voice, trombone for the lower one, and a sax/trumpet sound for the middle voice.
I am having fun with this 🙂
