Skeletal:
Soundscape, Dronescape, Vocalscape, Spoken Word, Ambient. Take your pick.
This began with some lyrics recited into AudioShare with Altispace which I took into Sector and then into Borderlands Granular. I also took it into TwistedWave and slowed, lowered, and reversed it.
I now had four variations which I arranged in Auria, also adding two drones from Addictive Synth.

Alibi For A Lullaby:
Beatscape.
ElasticDrums, TwistedWave, Addictive Synth, Auria.
Sorry I’m too tired to add more.

Irreducible Complexity:
A pure Beatscape today; chaotic and abstract. Nothing but drums were used.
Patterning was the drum machine at the heart of this but treated in various ways.
It was a complex build so I’m not going to try and describe my steps, there were so many. Sometimes I get lost in the moment and the hours just fly by in a blur and it becomes difficult or impossible to tease out the process.
Today’s helper apps were: Auria, AudioShare, TwistedWave, AUFX:Space, AUFX:Dub, Emo Chorus, LaunchPad, Borderlands Granular, Sector, and iDensity.

Winter Landscape’s Subtle Light:
An Ambient Jamscape 🙂
Today’s track is a departure; it involves me playing both my guitar and my MicroBrute into the iPad before arranging them into a track.
First I jammed the MicroBrute into AudioShare with AUFX:Dub and AUFX:Space in the effects chain.
Next I did the same with my Strat but with ToneStack in the effect chain.
Then I loaded both into Auria; I had done a freeform jam in C blues scale on both instruments and thought that they would combine well.
A little judicious cutting and arranging followed before I loaded up two drum tracks from recent days: one from iMPC Pro and one from BeatMaker 2. I cut out one sound from both and arranged them.

Pallid As The Night:
A Beatscape, long and slow.
I used Lyra in Auria again today plus SoundScaper, Poly, Grain Science, iMPC Pro, and BeatMaker 2.

I’m Dry:
An Ambient Soundscape with electric piano and spoken word.
The soundscape was made with Grain Science (what a cool app that is), I had great fun playing with it today.
The electric piano part was played in using my MicroBrute as a midi controller for Lyra, the sampler in Auria. I then copied it to two more tracks and used: another electric piano and an acoustic piano, which I mixed to get the sound I wanted.
Finally I added the words which I had recorded in AudioShare with AltiSpace,

Where Does The Sun Hide From The Snow:
An Ambient Soundscape.
I started with a drum file that I made three days ago of very random sounding drums, I afraid I can’t remember how I made it. I added it to Auria where I cut it up and made an arrangement.
Next I turned to Addictive Synth for two drones and for the occasional high synth part.

You Lied:
A Beatscape with spoken word.
Drums courtesy of Patterning and the midi drum loops that came with Auria, I haven’t used midi drums before and this track started with my experimenting with them. I added a Borderlands Granular file from earlier in the week, and two spoken word lyrics that I recorded into AudioShare with AltiSpace.
This was my most complicated track to make so far, certainly in terms of cutting up the different elements to make the final composition.

Which Part?:
Beatscape with Spoken Word.
As part of my experimenting with little used apps I opened up iMPC Pro today and found a beat that I had started months ago, possibly last year. I played with it a bit and exported it to AudioShare then slowed it with TwistedWave. In Auria I added some Patterning to it as well as a percussive vocal part. Next I turned to Addictive Synth and added an arpeggio part which I repeated twice with variations. Finally I added one of my spoken word pieces which I had recorded using AudioShare, AltiSpace, and TwistedWave.

Thank You Mr Kurosawa:
A sparse and slow minimalistic Beatscape.
I used BeatMaker2 for this. It’s an app I’ve barely used and I was lost, but I eventually managed to make a little beat, and I eventually figured out how to export it to Auria where I at least know my way around.
I think BeatMaker has riches awaiting for me to unlock them. Too many apps too little time.
Anyway I cut a small piece and reversed it with TwistedWave; then looped it and used it as the intro.
Then I took a Borderlands Granular track from last week and reversed it before adding it to the project and cutting it up around and through the beat.
I really like the minimalism here.
