Distant Pulse:

More Gadget based downtempo electronica made with the assistance of AudioShare, ApeFilter, Dedalus, and Auria.

In other words the usual suspects.

Sorry if things seem to be stagnating, it’s because I’m on hols and out of my comfort zone. I’ll try something different tomorrow I promise.

Untrue Development (Edition):

Today feels like a downtempo version of an 80’s Synth Pop track. Not my usual cup of tea to say the least but my current flirtation with Gadget is taking me to some strange places indeed. I used TwistedWave, AudioShare, ApeFilter, and Dedalus to try and bring it a little closer to my usual texture. Not sure if that helped or not 🙂

Anyway it is what it is, I hope it brings you pleasure.

Calm The Fuck Down:

More of an Ambient approach today, still using Gadget as it’s quick and easy to work with, which I need while I’m on my holiday. I also used Dedalus for texture and TwistedWave for a little trim and fade tidying up.

Concrete Jungle:

Something a little different from me today, in fact this is to quote Monty Python ‘Something completely different’.

Firo is an app that I’ve barely used, I had a play with it today and this is the result. I didn’t start out to make something like this, it just happened.

After jamming in Firo I exported the midi to Auria where I separated the bass part and gave it to two different instruments, added a little reverb, and adjusted volumes. Then I ran the result through Dedalus.

I’m surprised by this track but very pleased with it.

Hope you enjoy.

Well Adjusted Head:

Continuing my Gadget obsession today with another little downtempo piece of electronica. Today I also used AudioShare, ApeFilter, Dedalus, AUFX:Dub, and Auria.

The City Blooms Recalcitrant:

I seem to be alternating lately between beat based tracks and soudscape tracks; that wasn’t intentional, just something I noticed. So it must be Soundscape time!

This track in fact veers towards the Noisescape. I made it with Addictive Synth, just jamming with a sound I found using the randomise function. I put it into Auria for a little mixing goodness but otherwise its a straight jam with that one patch.

Laxative Is The Key:

There’s a beat and a bassline and some vocals, does that make it a song? Not the way I do it.

iElectribe for the drums, iFretless Bass for (you guessed it) the bass. The vocals is on two tracks, one effected by VoxSyn and the other by Harmony Voice. Assembled in Auria.

Plain Sailing:

An Ambient Soundscape.

I made this using another of my standard modus operandi; play with a synth app making several patches and jams then combine them. Today I used Magellan and this soundscape is the result of combining three of the jams together in Auria.

Fluid Victoria Extract:

Another Downtempo Electronica piece courtesy of Gadget. This app is really fun to use and full of so many possibilities.

I made this on the plane between Oslo and Bangkok.

Made in Gadget, ran it through Dedalus, back to Gadget and exported a sparser version, ran that through Dedalus, arranged the two together in Auria. This is becoming a standard workflow for me for this sort of track but so far I’m happy with the results.
